Greesi Langovits

Born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia, pop-soprano GREESI DESIREE LANGOVITS started singing at the age of 7 as a member of the Ellerhein girls choir (Grammy Award, 2004, Sibelius “Cantatas”, cond. P. Järvi). Since then she has also sung with the Europa Chor Akademie (ECA, Germany), Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) and others, recording many more albums and participating in various choir competitions and festivals around the world.

She studied voice from 2005-2011, both in Estonia as well as in Latvia. She has taken part in numerous master classes for singers. Her operatic roles include the Child in Ravel’s „L’enfant et les Sortiléges“ and Almirena in Handel’s „Rinaldo“.

Greesi has appeared as a soloist in Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Italy, Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, Russia, USA and Canada. She has worked with many well-known conductors like Gustavo Dudamel, Neeme Järvi, Paavo Järvi, Tõnu Kaljuste, Michael Gielen, Sylvain Gambreling, Paul Hillier, Peter Eötvös etc as well as with many living composers like Arvo Pärt, Tõnu Kõrvits, Gregory Rose, Ohad Ben-Ari, Detlev Glanert and many others.

Desiree is also actively performing pop/jazz music and has appeared in concerts with various musicians such as Tony Esposito, Mark and Paul Kostabi, Gene Pritsker, David Rozenblatt, Keith LeBlanc, Lino Pariota etc.
